Order Cancellations, Returns & Trade Reversals

This Cancellation Policy outlines the rules and procedures for cancelling orders, listings, and transactions on SkinsDeals. Due to the digital nature of Dota 2 items and Steam trading mechanics, strict policies apply to ensure fairness for all parties.

2. BUYER CANCELLATIONS

Before Payment:

  • Orders can be cancelled freely before payment
  • No penalties or restrictions
  • Items return to market immediately

After Payment (Before Trade):

  • Cancellation allowed within 5 minutes of payment
  • Full refund to original payment method
  • Processing time: 5-10 business days
  • After 5 minutes: Subject to seller approval

After Steam Trade Sent:

  • ❌ Cannot cancel once trade offer is sent
  • ❌ No refunds after accepting trade
  • ✅ Exception: Item not as described
  • ✅ Exception: Wrong item delivered

3. SELLER CANCELLATIONS

Listing Cancellations:

  • Can cancel listings anytime before sale
  • No fees for cancelling unsold listings
  • Bulk cancellation tools available
  • Automatic cancellation if item leaves inventory

After Sale (Before Trade):

  • ⚠️ Cancellation strongly discouraged
  • Must provide valid reason
  • Buyer receives full refund
  • Seller receives warning
  • Multiple violations lead to restrictions

Valid Cancellation Reasons:

  • Item no longer in inventory
  • Steam trade ban received
  • Technical issues preventing trade
  • Suspected fraudulent buyer

4. AUTOMATIC CANCELLATIONS

Orders are automatically cancelled when:

  • Payment fails or is declined
  • Seller doesn't send trade within 24 hours
  • Buyer doesn't accept trade within 24 hours
  • Item removed from seller's inventory
  • Steam API unavailable for extended period
  • Fraud detection triggers
  • Account suspension or ban

Automatic Cancellation Results:

  • Full refund to buyer
  • No fees charged to either party
  • Email notification sent
  • Item relisted if applicable

5. CANCELLATION TIMEFRAMES

Critical Windows:

  • 0-5 minutes: Free cancellation for buyers
  • 5-30 minutes: Requires seller approval
  • 30+ minutes: Generally not allowed
  • After trade sent: No cancellations

Response Times:

  • Seller must respond to trade: 24 hours
  • Buyer must accept trade: 24 hours
  • Support response: 24-48 hours
  • Refund processing: 5-10 business days

6. REFUND PROCESSING

Refund Methods:

  • Original payment method (default)
  • SkinsDeals Wallet (instant)
  • Store credit (with 5% bonus)

Processing Times:

  • Wallet refunds: Instant
  • Credit/Debit cards: 5-10 business days
  • PayPal: 3-5 business days
  • Cryptocurrency: Not refundable
  • Bank transfers: 5-7 business days

Refund Fees:

  • Standard refunds: No fee
  • Express processing: $5
  • International refunds: May incur bank fees

7. NON-CANCELLABLE TRANSACTIONS

The following cannot be cancelled:

  • Completed Steam trades
  • Delivered digital items
  • Cryptocurrency payments
  • Wallet withdrawals in process
  • Subscription renewals after processing
  • Premium verification fees

8. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Dispute Process:

  • Contact support within 48 hours
  • Provide transaction ID and evidence
  • Support investigation (24-72 hours)
  • Resolution or escalation to management
  • Final decision communicated

Valid Dispute Reasons:

  • Item not as described
  • Wrong item received
  • Item not delivered

Excessive Cancellations:

  • 3+ buyer cancellations/month: Warning
  • 5+ buyer cancellations/month: Temporary restriction
  • 2+ seller cancellations/month: Warning
  • 3+ seller cancellations/month: Listing suspension

Consequences:

  • Account warnings
  • Temporary trade restrictions
  • Listing limitations
  • Required deposits for orders
  • Permanent ban for abuse

10. FORCE MAJEURE

Cancellations due to circumstances beyond control:

  • Steam service outages
  • Payment processor failures
  • Natural disasters
  • Government restrictions
  • Cyber attacks

In such cases, full refunds are provided with no penalties to either party.

11. SUBSCRIPTION CANCELLATIONS

Premium Services:

  • Cancel anytime before renewal
  • Access continues until period ends
  • No partial refunds for unused time
  • Reactivation available anytime

12. SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES

Exceptions may apply for:

  • Account compromise/hacking
  • Medical emergencies
  • Legal requirements
  • Platform errors
  • Fraudulent listings
